Understand the legal grounds and the authority limits of demonic activity — and how the finished work of Christ has already revoked every handwriting against you.
The foundation
From the fall, the war has been for the mind — appealing to the desires of the flesh. The first Adam was overcome; the second Adam, Jesus, was tempted and the devil "found nothing in Him" (Jn 14:30). On the cross every handwriting of ordinances against us was blotted out and nailed to the tree (Col 2:14-15).
Earth was given to the sons of men (Ps 115:16). Spirits — good or evil — need a vessel to carry out their agenda. While we are governed by the world, these spirits have legal authority to rule over us. In Christ, they do not. The call is to become vessels fit for the Master's use — for twelve sold-out disciples reached billions, and a remnant truly serving God in spirit and in truth displaces darkness wherever they stand.
The four pillars
The mind is the battlefield
Since the fall, the enemy has not attacked God's throne — he attacks the soil where decisions are made. Every assault is first a thought, then an image, then a desire, then a yielded act. Paul calls them 'strongholds, arguments, and high things' — fortified patterns of thinking that exalt themselves against the knowledge of God. Deliverance that ignores the mind is partial deliverance; the body comes out but the imagination still pays rent.

Legal ground — why demons need permission
Earth was given to the sons of men (Ps 115:16). Spirits — good or evil — require a vessel and a legal title-deed to operate here. 'Without cause' the curse cannot land (Pr 26:2). When Adam yielded, dominion was handed over (Lk 4:6); from that moment the enemy operates on borrowed authority, claimed through agreement: idolatry, vows, unforgiveness, sin patterns, generational covenants, trauma, and the words we speak over ourselves. No agreement, no ground. No ground, no authority.

The second Adam — every handwriting blotted out
The first Adam was overcome; the second Adam overcame. When the devil tempted Jesus he found 'nothing in him' (Jn 14:30) — no legal handle, no internal agreement. At the cross every handwriting of ordinances written against us was blotted out, nailed to the tree, and principalities and powers were openly disarmed (Col 2:14-15). In Christ, the title-deed of the earth and of your life is back in the hand of the Last Adam, and you stand inside that legal verdict.

Vessels fit for the Master's use
Spirits seek bodies the way water seeks vessels. A swept and empty house is still an invitation (Mt 12:43-45) — sanctification is occupation, not vacancy. Twelve sold-out disciples reached billions; a remnant truly governed by the Spirit displaces darkness wherever it stands. The call is not merely to be free, but to be filled, occupied, and deployed — vessels of honour, sanctified, profitable to the Master, prepared unto every good work.

Legal grounds — what gives demons permission
The enemy is a legalist. He works through agreements. Close the door, and the squatter has no claim.
Unforgiveness
Opens the door: Holds the soul to the tormentors (Mt 18:34-35).
Closes the door: Name the person aloud, release the debt, bless them, choose it daily until the feeling follows.
Sexual sin & soul-ties
Opens the door: Joins the body and spirit to another (1 Cor 6:16-18) and grants access to spirits attached to them.
Closes the door: Confess by name, renounce every union, ask the Father to sever every soul-tie by the blood of Jesus.
Occult & false worship
Opens the door: Direct covenant with darkness — tarot, horoscopes, mediums, witchcraft, false religions, secret societies (Dt 18:10-12).
Closes the door: Renounce specifically, burn/destroy objects (Acts 19:19), close every door by name, declare Christ as only Lord.
Generational covenants & curses
Opens the door: Iniquity visited to the third and fourth generation (Ex 20:5) — patterns, vows, and dedications made by forefathers.
Closes the door: Confess your sin and the sin of your fathers (Lv 26:40), renounce on their behalf, plead the blood over the bloodline.
Word curses & inner vows
Opens the door: 'I'll never trust again.' 'I'm worthless.' 'No one in our family stays married.' — agreements that frame reality (Pr 18:21).
Closes the door: Identify the vow, repent for agreement, cancel it in Jesus' name, replace with a scripture-anchored declaration.
Trauma & unhealed wounds
Opens the door: Open wounds attract scavengers — fear, rejection, infirmity, addiction (Lk 4:18).
Closes the door: Bring Jesus into the memory, forgive every party, ask the Spirit to heal the broken heart, replace lies with truth.
Idolatry of the flesh
Opens the door: Love of money, food, screens, image, achievement — anything seated where God belongs (1 Jn 2:15-17).
Closes the door: Tear down the altar by name, fast it, give it away, re-enthrone Christ as Lord of that area.
Active sin patterns
Opens the door: Continued practice gives the enemy legal residence (Eph 4:27; Jn 8:34).
Closes the door: Confess, forsake, restitute where possible (Pr 28:13), submit to accountability, walk in the opposite spirit.
The verdict — your standing in Christ
• The handwriting against you is blotted out (Col 2:14).
• Principalities and powers were openly disarmed at the cross (Col 2:15).
• The works of the devil came to be destroyed by the Son of God (1 Jn 3:8).
• You overcome by the blood of the Lamb and the word of your testimony (Rv 12:11).
• Submit to God, resist the devil, and he will flee (Jas 4:7).
• You are more than a conqueror through Him who loved us (Rm 8:37).
Declaration
"In the name of Jesus, by the blood of the Lamb, I close every door I have opened and renounce every agreement with darkness. Every handwriting against me was blotted out at the cross. I am not a vacant house — I am filled with the Holy Spirit, sanctified, and prepared unto every good work. I am a vessel fit for the Master's use. The enemy finds nothing in me. Amen."
The Anointing That Breaks Every Yoke
"And it shall come to pass in that day, that his burden shall be taken away from off thy shoulder, and his yoke from off thy neck, and the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing." — Isaiah 10:27
These notes do not operate by formula — they operate by the same anointing Jesus carried when He set the captives free (Luke 4:18). Approach every session under covering, in covenant, and in faith.
Sow Where You Eat
When a minister sows into the well they drink from, a spiritual transaction takes place — they become a partaker of the anointing flowing through it (1 Corinthians 9:11, Philippians 4:17). Sowing is not payment; it is participation.
